I am an experienced senior transformation and change leader with experience of designing and implementing large-scale change within the IT and technology functions of organisations across multiple industries including retail, financial services, central and local government, telco and broadcast. I'm at my best when asked to take on something difficult or recover a struggling / failing endeavour.In recent years I have alternated between programme/project delivery roles and acting as Client Delivery Lead for our consulting teams on large accounts, responsible for coaching and developing our team and ensuring we meet our client's needs and expectations, as well as advising and guiding our clients with their business problems. I am recognised for being able to engage with non-technical business stakeholders to help them shape their ideas into projects - as one recent stakeholder put it "you can't really be an IT person, I just understood everything that you said!"Recent projects have included delivering technology programmes, organisational transformation, shaping and planning portfolios of IT change, developing ICT strategies and ensuring business alignment with technology.Specialties: Helping senior management teams to identify their goals and set meaningful objectives, (e.g. facilitating the hard decisions about what _not_ to do) - Defining pragmatic transformation paths from as-is to intended states - Managing multiple workstreams within change projects - "getting everyone doing agile" so that you truly achieve incremental benefit through the life of a project (it's not just about how you write the code) - Organisational design / transformation: what's it going to be like once we're done - Supplier Management: choosing the best engagement and commercial models, making them really feel part of the team - Identifying and designing internal and external processes and customer handoffs - Planning and then executing the transition to the new state: getting over the hump from a design/development into a transition and operational world -Mobilising and making best use of change and communications professionals, so they can really contribute to the programme's success
