Born in Pomona California, I grew up in the small quiet town of Claremont. When I was 14 years old my mother was diagnosed with MS and I became the sole caretaker for her and my three younger siblings. Caring and cooking for my family through that time is where my passion for food was born. Throughout my career I’ve gained valuable knowledge and experience working in an array of culinary fields ranging from catering, country clubs, restaurants mom and pops, senior living, and organizing the opening of a beach side restaurant, before now opening a property with my mentor in DTLA. My mother was and is my inspiration for the switch from fine dining to senior living. A switch that left me feeling accomplished and fulfilled every day, but now it's time to return home.A few of my accomplishments have been, creating multiple effective procedures, eradicated animosity among departments, set a seasonal and from scratch policy, continuously exercise morale-boosting tactics, to promote sales I supply jars of house made pickles as a gift for new prospects, low kitchen turnover rate and with the help of some residents, planted and maintained many community gardens to upscale the dining experience. That said, nothing on this list could have been possible without the amazing teams that I've had. No one gets anywhere in this world alone, and if you respect and take care of your people, they will do the same for you and your vision.
