Developed a turnkey system for social media and inhouse advisements. Hardware components consist of HD displays, Raspberry Pi Zeros, and a Windows 10 desktop computer. Software components consisted of Google’s contact and calendar APIs, the Facebook API for scheduling events along with custom software written in Python and C++.An employee schedules bands, birthday parties, holidays, and other events in Google Calendar, and enters customer names and birthdays in Google Contacts. Python/C++ software was written, for the desktop PC, to access the Google calendar and contacts, extract this information and merged it with graphical images to produce MP4 files, Facebook event, and downloads for banner displays.Python code was written for the Raspberry Pi Zeros to perform power on sequencing and monitor the desktop PC for new MP4 files that are played to their respective HD display. Another Pi, with similar Python code, is used to monitor and handle downloads to the banner displays.I also perform minor IT function; setting up routers, granting user access to system data and providing interface to alarm system, jute box and other inhouse components.
