These included the consolidation of multiple backups solutions to one using Veritas NetBackup, the implementation of backup to disk and offsite replication using EMC Data Domain.- Optimized configuration of existing Hasbro Corporate Data Center to maximize performance, efficiency and scalability. This included managing projects to redesign the Data Center; install structured cabling; update fire suppression; replace end of life Computer Room Air Conditioning units; install under floor bonding system; upgrade generators, ups units and PDUS and remove 20 years of defunct cabling from under the raised floor.

These included the implementation of carrier diversity for Hasbro’s webfarm, an MPLS upgrade for Hasbro’s wide area network, an upgrade of the Sonet infrastructure in Rhode Island, deployment of wireless network access, implementation of network segmentation in the data center, and the use of Cisco WAAS for bandwidth acceleration. - Obtained expense savings and increased functionality and reliability by successfully planning and managing the deployment of Avaya VOIP telephony systems to multiple Hasbro locations within the Americas. - Improved network security and remote access functionality by directing the upgrade of backend VPN appliances and implementing two factor VPN authentication. - Provided guidance and planning to help Hasbro build out video production studios in both east coast and west coast locations. Worked with internal staff and external vendors to determine requirements, develop a design and plan the implementation for the server, storage, network and backup infrastructures at both locations. - Resolved security related issues with Microsoft Windows Servers by developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures to automatically apply security patches on a monthly basis.
