Started by creating a SaaS tool for the collection and analysis of glucometer data from subscribed hospitals after an internal resource left. Gradually took on additional projects to automate data collection and report generation, solve operational problems, design and enhance corporate network of websites, and integrate with vendors.• Full-Stack Development: Designed and developed network of member-facing websites for subsidiaries with custom Single Sign On (SSO) solution, providing self-service functionality which freed up corporate resources while reinforcing the Phoenix brand to its members. Built a production SaaS site based on a partial proof-of-concept after an internal resource left the company.• Process Automation: Automated the data collection and PDF report generation for member-facing reports for CFO, HR, and additional departments, saving users dozens of hours monthly.

Prior to promotion to Senior Systems Engineer, developed custom eCommerce web-to-print (B2B) websites for distributors, enhanced and supported proprietary operations software across multiple locations, and provided customer and vendor support and training.• Web Development: Redesigned shopping cart, quantity-based pricing, and address book functionality on customer sites to enhance functionality and provide more simplified interfaces.• Process Automation: Designed and developed system for the automated creation and delivery of high-resolution print files.• System Integration: Enhanced proprietary warehouse management software to automatically recognize and service backordered items, support split and delayed shipments, and integrate with UPS and DHL shipping systems, reducing manual entries and accelerating the delivery of shipment status to the customers.

Designed and built an automated homework and educational games website for my wife’s 3rd grade classroom, and eventually expanded functionality and access to include dozens of schools in the US and Japan. Teachers would assign material, and students would choose from our custom library of Flash-based games which dynamically generated quizzes for the students and auto-graded their results. The better a student’s grade on the quiz, the longer they were allowed to play reward games.

Joined as the first internal development resource to help eliminate the need for external consultants and grew to manage team of eight members to implement development initiatives for both Homeowners and Ratestar, a prime mortgage company acquisition. • Project Management: Managed the configuration and company-wide roll-out of new loan origination and closing system for Ratestar on an accelerated four-month timeframe, allowing for easier system integration between the two companies. Coordinated IT department’s gradual transition to .NET languages to allow easier maintenance and enhancements and to better integrate with our new loan origination and closing software. • Efficiency Improvements: Managed the development and deployment of a system to automatically generate Good Faith Estimates, saving $30k per month in costs. Designed and developed software to optimize the retrieval of data for nightly reports, cutting the overall reporting time by 90%.
