As my role evolved, I became more focused on interdisciplinary support, research and development for the company's fledgling eLearning, Animation and AR initiatives. After providing animated GIFs to visualize variable data templates for Sales Team confirmation, I was increasingly requested by the Creative team to provide onboarding and product animations for the Social Media team. These simple projects quickly evolved to a full 2-minute selling animation video presented to Donatos' leadership board, showcasing Dancor's Ignite employee culture and development initiative software. The pitch was successful, and I've been exploring adding AfterEffects and more advanced special FX, possibly 3D animation to future projects and requests (contingent upon available bandwidth).While building out the company's animation capabilities, I also began exploring Augmented Reality use-cases and coordinating resources and support teams to test the viability of adding the technology to the print-production department and several other company initiatives, including variable data printing, eLearning, client experience marketing and integration with Ignite, the companies' internal employee-culture-engagement software.I also have been involved in handling eLearning project animation and production art for clients such as Target Optical and Pearle Vision, and have been preparing Rise360 courses for internal company training and development with Xerox's XMPie (Cross Media Personalization in e-Commerce) software suite, and possible integration into Ignite. I also continue to provide Prepress, Online System Administration and XMPie template support as needed.

Creation of interactive variable data templates for various client items (business cards, letterheads, shirts, etc) and transference of multiple clients from internal online ordering system 1.0 (scheduled for deprecation) to 2.0, meeting with clients to set up template logic and behaviors, assisting with updates within larger web-to-print framework using Xerox's XMPie (Cross-Media Personalization In E-commerce) software, creation of variable data form/questionnaires and animated GIFs to showcase template functionality and logic for Sales before presentation for final pass to client. Assistance with special prospective client projects and miscellaneous animation / design / administrative / tech requests as needed.

As a result of COVID-19 my father, Jay McMahon (my Prepress Lead / Manager), was forced to retire and began working part-time. I then became Prepress Lead / Manager with department managerial tasks, equipment maintenance, department supplies, client and internal procedures, plating equipment and machine chemistry. I was also responsible for creating, organizing and updating interactive variable templates throughout several iterations of the company's e-Commerce site, conforming the front end client-computer interaction and design requests to the company's backend art archive and reference folders, and keeping internal consistency with multiple iterations of client artwork and evolving brand guidelines. As the company downsized to a skeleton crew of essential employees, I was responsible for training the company's Digital Print Manager to provide redundancy for and succeed my Prepress Manager duties as I was elevated to Interactive Web-to-Print and Special Projects and joined the company's Innovate Technology team, and built and maintained XMPie templates and integration with Magento online storefronts. I also was involved in setup and confirmation of SOP and protocols for several departments during integration of new PressWise company-wide workflow software.

Advanced prepress project corrections, setup and execution using PDF workflow, operation and maintenance of plating equipment and large proofing printers, assisting with internal process-manager and plating software (Heidelberg Signa and Cockpit), as well as Online Ordering and Digital Print departments as needed.

In addition to the previous responsibilities of prepress setup, plating and other tasks, the Digital department corrects and creates output for digital presses, in this case two Minolta Bizhub Pro C8000's and a C6000, of which I am ORU training-certified to operate. Creation and maintenance of digital processes, workflows and templates are essential.

Scanned, corrected, and edited digital images sent from clients for press output, frequently handled creative / graphic design requests, assisted IT Director with website development, design and content creation, and operated machinery for paper and metallic plates used for traditional printing press. Worked collaboratively with each area of the organization, including customer service, sales, client, prepress, digital, IT, design, press, post-production and shipping departments.

Worked directly with Webmaster and collaborated with technical team and university photographer, created and modified graphics consistent with general Ohio University visual brand, colors and layout, learned basic HTML, and worked with Flash animations.
