As more fashion and lifestyle brands seek to find their voice, Drawn Distant is a new publisher and consultancy from James Davis (Gaming Editor @ Highsnobiety) providing inspiration and thought leadership from the many different corners of gaming.

Leading thought leadership at SoccerBible around the Creative Soccer Culture.

Working closely with the in-house agency HS+, I have led the creative and strategic work for several re-branding, branded content and event activation projects for various fashion and lifestyle clients.

As I was promoted to mid-level Creative Strategist, I began leading the creative and strategy behind small projects. These included clients such as Audi, BVB Dortmund, Nike, Telekom, Tik Tok and more. Furthermore, I helped realise the creation of VIRTUE's in-house cultural newsroom and 'Theories Of' reports both of which are trend forecasting projects that dissect cultural moments into insights for specific industries.

My responsibilities moved further into strategy as I took on a full-time role with VIRTUE. I would help the strategy team locate audience, brand and category insights to help anchor the creative in culturally credible topics. I worked for brands such as Adidas, Allianz, Mercedes, VW, PayPal and more.

Working in close tandem with the Creative Director at VIRTUE, I primarily helped in concepting ideas for brands such as Casio, FC Bayern and Hyundai.

VICE Media is recognised as one of the worlds leading youth culture magazines. They also have a film production company, a creative agency, a record label and a publishing imprint. Some of my tasks included:-Content creation and ideation for VIVID Live, UTS, MUNCHIES Screenings and THUMP Parties.-Research and presentation of trending technology platforms including Twitch, Snapchat, Virtual Reality and Video Syndication Channels. -Proactive research and pairing of large scale entertainment releases with VICE channels and their brand objectives. -University talent scouting and referral for VICE University Ambassador roles. -Writing for VICE's electronic music channel, THUMP (link below).-Proofreading and editing THUMP articles. -Co-hosting and mixing for VICE's THUMP radio show on local Sydney digital radio station, FBi Click.-Event management assistance at major events including: -Samsung Sound + Vision at the Sydney Opera House -Lynx Pitch Black -THUMP Parties -MUNCHIES Screenings.-Conceiving, developing and pitching ideas to the VICE team on unique content.
