About James Dingle
After almost two decades in advertising and seven years in hospitality, I wanted my work to have greater purpose and to contribute positively to some of the bigger issues of our time. I chose to do a masters in sustainability which helped define where I could be of greater service. My current role with the Carbon Bank at Ecotricity combines both entrepreneurial commercial expertise in creating a best practice carbon credits system, alongside the vital restoration and rewilding of the UK's natural environment in the fight against climate change and loss of valuable ecosystems.I discovered the merits of sustainable business during my years in hospitality and the creation of three sustainable restaurants (The Canteen, No.1 Harbourside and The Old Market Assembly) and the Harbourside Market in Bristol, all of which I'm proud to continue to be an owner of. Previously, I spent eighteen years in advertising in London, Sydney and Bristol developing strategic and creative work for clients such as Ford, McDonald's, Volkswagen, Audi, Diageo, Kraft, Storck, GlaxoSmithKline, Kia, Accsys and Lloyds.
