The Beach Break Down was an informal daily newsletter which was produced and printed on-site and on-the-fly each day throughout the Beach Break Live festival. It provided an enhanced festival experience for ticket holders, engaging them in the community of the festival, and also acted as an up-to-date platform for the festival organisers to communicate from.My role involved a wide range of creative and managerial skills. I set the content and tone of the product to mirror the festival’s, managed the content providers themselves, conducted interviews, wrote and sub edited copy, made photographs, communicated extensively with festival organisers and printed through the night to achieve the morning deadline.

At Project Sunlight my primary role was to research and purchase digital communications equipment. I evaluated individual client conditions to custom-fit a unique communications package for them. Equipment ranged from laptops and media capture devices to satellite telephones and internet terminals. Project Sunlight supported communications initiatives for the people of Burma (Myanmar), with the ultimate goal of documenting human rights violations.
