Managed and coordinated the most complex and sensitive criminal, civil and administrative programs, projects and studies; this included homicide, work place violence (threats and assaults) and dangerous mail investigations. Supervised task forces and teams of postal inspectors and support staff and technical employees in the accomplishment of investigative objectives; evaluated performance and took the necessary action to correct deficiencies, including discipline or remedial training , Provided training for new or less experienced Inspection Services employees; directed and coordinated the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of projects, programs and studies within assigned area. This included national reviews for airport security of mail processing at the San Francisco (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) Airports. Had oversight of physical and personnel security (customers & employees) for over one thousand facilities in the San Francisco Division. Had frequent contact with the general public, witnesses, victims, complainants, suspects and offenders, informants, postal customers and contractors, federal and private attorneys, and representatives of the business community, law enforcement agencies, armed services and the courts. Represented the Inspection Service at law enforcement, security and civic conferences and meetings. Oversight of recruitment and application process for postal inspector hiring in the San Francisco Division. Additionally served as a subject matter expert for Team Leader Instruction Course and Physical Security Specialist course. In April 2016 detailed to Postal Inspection Service Training Academy in Potomac, MD as a Supplemental Instructor for a Basic Training Class where I taught many basic skills to become a Postal Inspector to include ARC First Aid & CPR Certification. Maintained OPM Top Secret Security Clearance.
