As a Software Testing Manager at Renishaw, a global engineering company that specialises in Metrology, Healthcare, Spectroscopy, and Manufacturing. I have over 15 years of experience in delivering high-quality and effective Testing services across different domains and environments. I have various certifications at the Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced levels, and a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Bath. Originally trained as a Developer with 3 years industry experience before moving into Test.I am passionate about Testing, Quality, and Continuous Improvement, with a mindset to break systems, and a keen problem-solver. I have built and led a distributed Software Verification Test Team of about 15 people. Currently building an Integration Testing function/team of about 6 people, focussing on implementing automated workflow testing with CI/CD to get Continuous Testing. I have also founded, co-ordinating, and training the Testing Apprentice Stream. This includes: recruiting, mentoring, and supporting new and existing testing apprentices in the business. Additionally I am a STEM ambassador, a coach, an agile and test trainer, with a long-term management interest. I am well organized, reliable, adaptable, self-motivated, and proactive in work planning, completion, and challenges set.

Outside of work attended the British Computer Society Agile Development Sprint School.

Graduate Software EngineerRenishaw 2008 - 2009Wotton-Under-Edge, Gloucestershire, GbThis involved working on multiple projects within the department. This was a brand-new idea and included technology and core principle evaluation. This application was successfully developed to tight project deadlines and presented to higher management. This second project involved developing the first version of the surgical planning software for stereotactic procedures, aiding in all stages of planning. This was developed following a separate Quality Management System in accordance with Federal Drug Administration (FDA) standards. This included participating in: Planning and Estimation sessions, Stand-up meetings, Retrospectives, Bug Triage meetings & Backlog Grooming sessions. The agile process was pioneered in the department though this development team, where we helped to share knowledge, and promote this methodology. The development approach used was Test Driven Development (TDD) where unit tests were produced to help test our system. Some of the main courses successfully completed were: Report Writing, Health & Safety Awareness & Object Orientated Programming using C#.Net.
