Materials literally make up our physical world. A solid understanding, deploying them intelligently, and developing new ones when needed are key to addressing climate change and sustainability. Rarely the singular breakout technology, materials define our assumptions of what can be done and their costs.Addressing the challenges of climate change and sustainability has always motivated my interests. Inspiring my first home brew batch of biodiesel in high school and later in my academic and professional pursuits in energy systems and energy efficiency technologies. I have a broad interest in energy, technology, and the policies that drive incentives in those markets.
