Jim is the Senior Vice President of Humana Medicare & Medicaid Administration. As Senior Vice President of Medicare & Medicaid Administration, Jim is responsible for Insurance Products Actuarial, Insurance Product Development, Insurance Operational Risk Management, and Insurance Technology Modernization. Under Jim’s leadership, Medicare & Medicaid Administration’s initiatives focus on new ways of working to increase customer value, ultimately creating better experiences and higher value for our customers through new, streamlined ways of working across the enterprise.Before Jim’s role in Medicare & Medicaid Administration, Jim served as the Co-Leader and Chief Operations and Strategy Officer for Author by Humana, a service experience launched in 2021 designed to meet the whole-health needs of members. Prior to Author, Jim served as Vice President of Membership and Plan Services. Since joining Humana in 2014, Jim has held several progressive roles within Internal Audit and Risk Management.Prior to joining Humana, Jim served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of 21st Century Parks, Inc., where he led the successful operations, construction and funding for The Parklands of Floyds Fork, a $150 million community investment. During his 13-year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Jim participated in more than $50 billion in capital-raising activities and advised assurance clients in many industries around the world.Jim graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. He is a graduate of the 2013 Leadership Louisville class and was named to Louisville’s Business First’s Forty under 40 for 2013. In his spare time, Jim enjoys investing and advising start up companies, being outdoors, and coaching his children’s soccer, lacrosse and swimming teams.
