• Helped to establish The Royal Bank of Scotland International’s inaugural, €3bn Euro Commercial Paper programme.
• Designed the programme’s operating model. Worked closely with the bank’s chosen dealers, Issuing and Paying Agent and Central Securities Depository to understand the stakeholders’ respective processes and.
• Organised legal documents and implemented Sarbanes–Oxley Act controls to ensure the programme achieved regulatory and STEP compliance.

• Managed the bank’s £300m additional tier 1 capital issuance, introducing the loss-absorbing instrument to protect the bank and its stakeholders.

• Operating Model Design and Implementation:
• Recorded the end-to-end central bank and correspondent bank operating models, identifying the people, technology and processes required for liquidity management.
• Documented process maps to identify and manage risks within the processes. Successfully established contingencies to mitigate the risk of a £13bn liquidity shortfall in the event of a systems failure.
• Liaised between the Treasury Front Office, Back Office and Payments teams to implement the operating models. Supported impacted colleagues to help them understand their new and changed responsibilities.Liquid Asset.
• Coordinated between internal stakeholders to construct a bespoke on-boarding process for counterparty financial institutions. Received approval after independently taking the proposal through governance.

• Engineered an analysis of the bank’s deposit volumes using advanced Excel proficiency. Developed a model stressing core deposits to evaluate deposit liquidity coverage in advance of forthcoming regulations.
• Collaborated with colleagues to jointly author a paper challenging deposit utilisation. Recommended actions to strengthen the bank and increase lending opportunities.
• Applauded for my capacity to autonomously research legislation and regulations to understand factors influencing industry change.Deposit Management:
• Managed the bank’s cash flows, ensuring that the nostro accounts were sufficiently funded to facilitate daily payments.
• Responsible for managing the c.£10bn overnight and term deposit placements to central and correspondent banks. Accountable for deciding the amount to place and responsible for executing trades.

• Managed the documents required for a MiFID license application and contributed to the business plan supporting the license application. Successfully achieved regulatory approval to acquire a new business with c.£300bn.
