At Arup I have had the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in geotechnical engineering design across a wide range of some of the UK's most exciting and challenging infrastructure projects. Amongst developing core skills in piling, retaining wall and basement design, utilising sustainable practice, on-site supervision and geotechnical and geospatial analysis software, I have developed a special interest in ground movement assessments and computational modelling.

As a summer intern at Sigmat I had the opportunity to gain experience in structural and manufacturing engineering as a member of the design team for light gauge steel framing. I led a team of event-coordinators in developing and running the inaugural Oxford Santa Dash Charity Fun Run. Amongst being responsible for directing the event, I was responsible for the event’s logistics, finances and commercial partnerships, helping to develop my leadership, organisation, management and negotiation skills. The event was attended by 400+ and raised over £1,500 for charity.
