  I was hired as the firm's first technology specialist in 1988, and now have over 25 years of experience in patent prosecution, opinion, and counseling work in the electrical, electromechanical, computer, software, and optical arts. I also work with companies and research institutions in the biomedical, medical device, and bioinformatics fields. I represent a full spectrum of business entities including multinational companies, medium-size companies, and individual inventors.I regularly evaluate other competitors’ technologies and patent portfolios and advise clients on potential risks and opportunities. I have particular expertise in semiconductors, memory, semiconductor manufacturing, MEMS, analog and digital circuits, optical switches, software, electromechanical systems and devices, and computer related inventions.For 25 years, I led a team of Wolf Greenfield attorneys to represent a large international semiconductor company. The team drafted and prosecuted patents directed to all aspects of semiconductor design and manufacturing. I also counseled the client with respect to strategic portfolio development, licensing, and enforcement issues. I represented the client in numerous patent licensing negotiations, handling both the technical and legal issues.I have successfully argued a number of cases before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences and have also represented clients in mediations and negotiations.
