Happily Retired!After 25 years at Hefren-Tillotson and Baird, I retired on January 31, 2023! My next trip into the office, my lovely wife and I will be coming in as clients. As I reflect, I could not be happier with how Hefren-Tillotson, Baird and our amazing Team has helped our clients over the years with their financial goals. Darren and J.R. both have extensive backgrounds in comprehensive family financial planning, portfolio design and income planning. Chances are one of them helped to design your financial plan during their tenure as senior members within our Financial Planning Department. As you all know, I have been spoiled with not one, but two, amazing Financial Assistants. It is rare that a week goes by that we do not receive kind words about Katie and Karen and their acts of kindness that make our clients smile through the phone. I am thankful for them every day.They are each thoughtful and efficient with everything that they do. We have been planning my retirement for the past three years to assure a smooth transition and enjoyable experience for all of our clients. The merger with Baird has given us meaningfully more resources and a deep bench of research expertise to help guide our clients. The Team today has far more arrows in their quiver than I did starting out years ago. I smile knowing that you are in great hands with a great TEAM, going forward. It has been an exciting and rewarding career, surrounded by amazing colleagues and thoughtful leadership. It has been my pleasure helping my clients with their financial journey.
