My Research includes the following tasks and skills:- Performing research on the gas-phase thermal decomposition of different Si-N bond containing molecules using time-of-flight mass spectrometry.- Preparation of liquid and gaseous samples in inert and normal conditions.- Performing gas-phased mass spectrometry experiments on various silicon carbonitride film precursors.- Analysis of TOF-MS data using various analysis software.- Performing theoretical calculations, utilizing imaging software and communicating with supercomputers.

This position includes training and mentoring new students and coworkers in safety and potential hazards of the lab. Necessary roles I undertake are waste pick-up organizer, chemical reordering, data entry and updating inventory, and maintaining a clean laboratory environment. Weekly duties encompass checking eyewash stations and emergency showers. I actively replacing and monitor gas cylinders which are in use. I am responsible for writing and updating standard operating procedure documents for instrumentation and chemicals as well as safety protocols. Performing annual safety self-inspections is a necessity.

Position demands:-Creating temperature profiles for five common metals used in the making of nano particles; platinum, palladium, iridium, gold and silver.-The temperature profiles would later be used to predict the most efficient parameters necessary for the creation of nano particles through the use of pulsed laser dewetting.-Experiences included making and presenting my results biweekly, computer modelling, working closely with other team members, researching and compiling scientific data, writing scientific reports and meeting deadlines.
