• Successfully increased access, safety, and comfort for children with medical complexity and neurodevelopmental disorders by leading the creation of a specialized COVID-19 Testing Centre• Developed operation plan timelines including capacity limits, technology and registration platforms, funding and budget needs, staff hiring, training and onboarding, and process maps• Reported daily testing volumes and positivity rates to the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care• Provided operational oversight including nurse on-call support, addressing client and family needs, and implementing improvements such as sourcing creative resources to engage the children during testing• Responded, evaluated and implemented changes in response to community cases to ensure sufficient staffing, inventory, and utilization of new technologies (rapid testing) while incorporating needs from all department heads and senior leadership to ensure the safety of all hospital personnel and clients

• Partnered with Infection Prevention and Control and Occupational Health to develop, update, and implement screening protocols and supporting materials in alignment with Public Health guidelines• Connected with provincial pediatric hospitals to consult on screening protocols and initiate process improvements and trial implementations that meet the needs of rehabilitation clients and families• Collaborated with departments across all levels of the hospital to ensure that pre-screening and onsite screening needs do not hinder program enrollment, client and family safety, and staffing demands• Evaluated, synthesized, and reported screening process outcomes to senior leadership; escalated and managed safety concerns; provided prompt solutions, and addressed any imminent concerns

• My research project focused on studying the balance deficits that can appear following a concussion in varsity athletes.• Experience using a robotic translating platform to perform perturbation balance measures• Analyzed kinetic and kinematic data to propose results and hypothesize recommendations for future research• Experience using force plates, GAITRite, Visual 3D, NI Labview, AMASS, Matlab, and Vicon Camera Systems

• Led labs focusing on kinetics, kinematics, gait/posture, and EMG analysis• Marked midterms/finals and facilitated a strong learning environment during lab sessions and by answering emails• Gained valuable experience using various filters, amplifiers, and software (LoggerPro)

• Assisted with the supervision and instruction of the physical training classes for the basic constable students• Gained a wide base of knowledge in cardiovascular, strength, and resistance training by leading physical training classes and demonstrating proper techniques• Performed fitness evaluations, counseling, and exercise prescriptions for students and staff incorporating all aspects of fitness training and wellness promotion

• Promoted the fitness centre to students, while encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle• Supervised the gym while planning events and fitness programs for students, along with assisting them through their personal fitness regimes • Communicated with the students everyday while working independently and successfully planning events that encouraged physical activity

• Responsible for setting up hot/cold packs, cleaning, scheduling patients, answering phones, and assisting the physical therapist and patients• Assisted patients with balance exercises, setting up weight machines, and monitoring exercise programs set by the physical therapist• Gained first-hand clinical experience with the techniques used during rehabilitation and the importance of clients undergoing proper physical therapy

• Shadowed two Physicians’ Assistants throughout their day as they visited patients• Observed orthopaedic surgeries in an operating room gaining a good understanding of the rehabilitation required after a patient’s surgery • Obtained experience in the clinical setting of a hospital dealing with patient care and learned the requirements of becoming a Physician’s Assistant• Learned how to cast a broken arm and leg, study X-rays and MRIs, and fill out patient charts
