About James Nefulda
I recently graduated from the Information Technology program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), majoring in Computer Systems. I enjoy working with technology and would like to transfer that passion to working with companies in their IT projects and department. Some areas I am interested in are system troubleshooting and customer service, scripting, cloud-based systems and virtualization, automation and IoT. I also am a graduate of the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary where I received my degree in Chemical Engineering, with a Biomedical Engineering Specialization. I hope to undertake a position as an Engineer-in-Training within the fields and industries of oil and gas (specifically clean and renewable fuels and energy), medicine/pharmaceuticals or food manufacturing.Although I have yet to obtain technical chemical engineering experience, I do possess a wide set of transferable skills, such as leadership, problem solving and analytical skills, oral and written communication, and organizational skills gained from various professional, volunteer and extracurricular roles I have undertaken. This skillset, combined with my academic knowledge (particularly in economics analysis for plant design and basic process equipment design) and hardworking and motivated attitude, will allow me to demonstrate excellence in any position and provide meaningful contributions to the company.In my spare time, I enjoy various things such as music, dance, photography and baking. I enjoy singing and playing various instruments, dancing (particularly hip hop, but I am open to learning other styles) and traveling, and one day hope to live and work in Europe.
