This is my third engagement with O'Reilly Media. I recruited for a variety of roles including Salesforce Engineers, Systems and Security Administrators, and Director-level Talent Acquisition professionals.

In my second engagement with this client I am focused on finding and hiring engineering talent. In an unprecedented push from September to the Christmas break we hired more than 50 new employees that possessed a wide range of technical skills. Technologies included React, Redux, ES6+, HTML, CSS, Python, Django, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, Git, MySQL, PostgreSQL, microservices, UI, UX (Sketch, Adobe CC), Go, Java, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and on the mobile side, Java, Android SDK & Studio, Kotlin, Swift and UI Kit. As you can see it is a candy shop of different systems and included roles from cloud architecture to UX Designers to Product Managers / Directors. O'Reilly's technical variety teamed with it's corporate mission makes this a great work environment.

Working directly with senior management I am helping to define roles and successfully recruit candidates for a number of technical disciplines including UX Design, Cloud Administration, Systems and Application Architecture, Full Stack Engineering and Product Management / Marketing. The current Big Data / BI stack includes: AngularJS, Scala, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Apache Spark Cluster (AWS), Ansible, CoffeeScript, Yeoman, Bower, SASS, Bootstrap 3 and Grunt. The group also is involved with heavily customized ETL, data visualization and infographics as well as UX, IA and visual design.

This was my second engagement with this client. On a remote basis I was working directly with the CEO/Founder to help define roles and successfully recruit candidates for a number of positions including UX / UI, engineering, creative design, marketing and technical project/product management.Disciplines included: Ruby on Rails, HAML, Sass, multiple JavaScript frameworks, UX, Information Architecture, Visual Design, Security, Linux and database administration.

I have been consulting for my former employer, Accolo, on a project basis in a role similar to the one I held from 2004 to 2009 although all the assignments were technically oriented. Engagements include: Stanford University, QAD (ERP software), ngmoco (technical platform and games for the iPhone), Pinger, Axway, kCura, and NetSmart (all software companies)
