I am a graduate of the Honors Program at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. I am involved in and devoted to many non-profit volunteer organizations as well as several for-profit companies.I taught Social Studies at Montville Township High School, including U.S. History, AP European History, and Criminal History. I am a creative and dedicated educator who puts students first, developing dozens of engaging and hands-on lessons (from escape rooms to money/government simulations).I am a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician with the Mendham First Aid Squad, an Assistant Scoutmaster and Merit Badge Counselor with Boy Scouts of America, and a Senior City Counselor with American Legion Jersey Boys State.In 2020 I founded Ay to Zee to help prepare students for life and the workplace. Our coaches work with students to build the skills necessary for success in life, and run professional development courses for teachers and administrators on how to better incorporate skills-based teaching in the classroom.In 2016 I founded Medic Mark to help ensure that people who require lifesaving/emergency medication can leave active lives. We make sure that bystanders and first responders can act when minutes matter.
