Currently, serving as the Director of Community Initiatives for the South Florida Digital Alliance.The South Florida Digital Alliance Inc. (SFDA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable foundation corporation whose mission is to expand digital literacy and leverage technology to expand opportunities for all residents of South Florida regardless of income level.The South Florida Digital Alliance Inc. is a nonprofit association of local anchor institutions representing government, healthcare, education, nonprofit organizations and the private sector. Our shared goal is to better prepare our community to participate and compete in a digital society and digital economy through the attainment of technology skillsets and adoption of the tools of technology.The SFDA members/supporters believe that digital literacy is the single most critical educational tool for future generations.From August 2010 - November 2017, served as the Executive Director of the South Florida Digital Alliance (SFDA)/Miami-Dade Broadband Coalition (MDBC). June 2010, retired as an Assistant Director of the Information Technology Department of the City of Miami. Continuing efforts on expanding Elevate Miami program via work of the Miami-Dade Broadband Coalition, Inc. The City’s digital empowerment program, Elevate Miami, is still going strong. In July, the City awarded an additional 257 refurbished computers to 6th grade students under its Rites of Passage program at 2 Title I Middle Schools in Miami (total of 630 computers distributed in 2010, and 1800 from 2008-2010).Specialties: Customer-centric Senior IT Executive with the ability to quickly and creatively establish and nurture mutually profitable relationships with internal and external business partners. Focused on business challenges and use of technology to address those challenges.
