In this position, which he has held since 2010, James Ahern has been instrumental in establishing Laidlaw & Company as a leading investment bank in the healthcare sector. He has worked to secure a number of multi-million-dollar capital and equity deals, and continues to identify promising opportunities in both private and public firms.In his spare time, Mr. Ahern enjoys fishing and regularly takes boats out around Cape Cod. A tuna fishing enthusiast, he has participated in a number of fishing competitions and earned first place at the Big 3 Fishing Tournament, a fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands, for catching the largest tuna in the competition. Also a lover of good food, he enjoys lobster and steamers, as well as grilling outside during the summer months. He regularly travels by boat to Nantucket to eat at restaurants such as Cru and Galley Beach.Mr. Ahem is a longtime Massachusetts resident and a fan of the Boston Celtics, the New England Patriots, and the Red Sox.
