I've always had a deep love for the ocean. Growing up in Nelson, New Zealand, I spent much of my childhood exploring its spectacular coastline. As I got older, I decided to pursue a career in the maritime industry.Amongst this, whilst still at school myself a four other started a children's book called Where's Woolly, this Young Enterprise Scheme business turned into a thriving success resulting in becoming National Company of the Year for 2016. This ventured then carried on where I ran it full-time straight out of graduating from Nelson College, where it became the media production company now known as Woolly Productions Limited.My nautical career began working on a luxury overnight cruise vessel in Fiordland where I honed my customer service skills and learned the ins and outs of the hospitality industry whilst being at sea. But my passion for the sea ran deeper than just serving drinks and making beds.In my free time, I volunteered for the Nelson Coastguard, where I gained invaluable experience in search and rescue operations and emergency response. I found it extremely rewarding to help people in need and be a part of such an important organisation. After working in the tourism industry, I took my passion for the ocean and experience with the Coastguard to the next level, in 2019 I joined the Royal New Zealand Navy as a Seaman Combat Specialist, where I operated small craft used in the Navy's littoral operations.
