I started Periconi, LLC in 2003 as a boutique environmental law firm, and we're now recognized nationally as a top-tier firm in our class. I have long been active in the New York State Bar Association, where I was Chair of what is now called the Energy and Environmental Law Section, with more than 1,000 members throughout the State.In government, I was most recently Chief, Solid and Hazardous Waste Enforcement Bureau, New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation, 1987-1989; former Assistant New York State Attorney General, Environmental Protection Bureau, 1982-1987; and a New York County Assistant District Attorney, 1977-1980.In the non-profit world, I was for 9 years (2010-2018) a member of the governing Council of the Grolier Club of New York, which is the premier bibliophilic organization in the country. The Grolier puts on about 10 public exhibitions annually of books or other works on paper, with curators and works from all around the world. Before that, I was President of the Board of Directors of the (late) Pearl Theatre Company, a fine producer of classical plays in revival with a Resident Acting Company. In the early 2000s, I was Chair of the Board of INFORM, a national environmental research not-for-profit.I am the proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren spread out from the West Coast of the U.S. to London.
