As the Commercial Director and Shareholder Representative I was responsible for shareholder strategy, project governance, execution and implementation along with defining work scope, revenue targets, terminal operations and budgetary control. In this role I was accountable to 14 direct reports in commercial, shipside/landside operations and finance. I defined commercial and operational obligations of terminal concession and joint venture agreements. I directed vessel berth and gang deployment resources to optimize productivity to exceed contracted performance commitments. I measured operational performance metrics against carrier and company service obligation/guidelines, identified gaps in lifecycle and provide guidance to implement corrections. I achieved growth in total sales revenue of 15%, average revenue per TEU (ART) at 9%, and terminal throughput at 5%. I grew the terminal’s client portfolio from two to six line operators through negotiation of terminal service contract tariffs and operations service agreements. I achieved reduction of €3.2M savings p.a. through optimization of operational teams and termination of 3rd-party outsource contractors and oversaw the appointment of third-party contractors, sub-contractor agreements and procurement of outsource services.
