Following a 6 month career break, I ended up moving to Beijing to become a digital marketing consultant. This was an absolutely incredible experience working with some brilliant and well-known brands, in what felt like a frontier town. I loved it, but never again!

Managed a variety of telco products - from prepay voice through to mobile data products. I found my particular strength in working between tech teams and marketers bringing product developments to life, leading to better market positioning and ultimately driving margin.

When I graduated, someone kindly took a punt on me and my Computer Science degree and invested in building a firm that built 'dynamic' websites. This is back in the day when websites were mostly static - we specialised in building sites that owners could update, and were part of the nebulous content management industry.
