Cummins Power Generation UK (1 year)Position held as a sheet metal worker, manufacturing enclosures for large generators, where I became familiar with industrial manufacturing operations and techniques including; metal fabrication (cutting, bending and welding), powder coating, assembly and quality control. All within a six sigma and 5S methodology framework.Cummins Power Generation UK (1 year)Position held in the test department, daily duties included working on LV and HV generator sets ranging in size from 7.5kVA to 3300kVA (diesel) and 1160kVA to 2500kVA (gas); moving completed generator sets from production lines into test cells, mechanically and electrically rigging generator sets in preparation for testing, aiding the test technicians in testing including electrical and mechanical fault finding and correction, safely de-rigging the generator sets on completion of testing and preparing the generator sets for distribution.Weidmüller (6 months)With the aid of technical drawings, I produced complete instrumentation and control systems for power generation, including; mechanical manufacturing, electrical systems, electronics and electronic interfaces.
