At GBF, I am the EHS manager for a Fruit and Nut manufacturing company of 320 + employees. Overall, I am responsible for the oversight of the entire safety system including monitoring, validating, and ongoing improvements. During my time there we have improved from ‘Below Average’ in class to ‘Above Average’ as classified by WorkSafeBC. Other achievements include winning the award for People First Safety Award in 2021, creating Language Leaders across each shift and department (communication initiative), empowering highly engaged Safety Committees and Social Committees, as well as company-wide Talent Shows, and engaging company events (turnout improved from ~50% to 95%+ during Social Director role).

As a Safety Advisor, I worked for approximately 20 companies over a three-year period to develop programs, implement training, conduct risk assessments, and complete specific specialty projects (confined space, ergonomics, lock-out tag-out, etc.). I developed into a Team Lead for 4 - 5 advisors during this time. Some of our biggest clients were YVR Airport, BCMEA, various waterfront / stevedoring companies, and food manufacturing companies. I enjoyed the variety and getting to meet so many different amazing people.H&S Consultant: Property Management, Construction, Airport Authority, Stevedoring, Motion Pictures, Manufacturing, and Telecommunications.
