Gaming Technology Group is a gaming software company which develops Slot Information and Player Tracking Systems for the Nevada Gaming Market. GTG began life as the result of a sale of Western Money Systems. I was hired into the unique circumstance of working for a start up company with legacy technology which had little documentation.Initially, I studied the servers to understand how the services interacted, and the stabilized the installation and then develop fail-over and disaster recovery processes. Additionally, I implemented a system to proactively notify our customer support team of potential issues, so they could dispatch a tech to resolve potential issues before the customer contacted them.Once the server stabilization and notification system was accomplished, I was tasked with leading the the international product development team, which allowed me to integrate the Slot Information system with the Player Tracking System to form a Cashless Wagering System to address the wants of the client base. During this time, I lead all aspects of Nevada Gaming Control Board approval, including working with the Independent Test Lab, report writing, web development, issue tracking, compliance, and NGCB required documentation of the system to ensure NGCB compliance.

Qtask was a Sass development effort to bring superior project management utility to the Internet. During my time as Qtask, I designed and deployed a load balanced and redundant website built on apache and MySQL. This included customer compiling a redundant hot spare load balancer system, MySQL Database fail over systems, NTFS and gluster fileshare system to name a few.I also worked with the marketing team to develop the accompanying marketing material, which included and online knowledge base including streaming video which was a novelty at that time.

Built and maintained a computer network using Windows and Linux to address the unique challenges of working for a video game software development company. During this time, working with a team of programmers I was recognized as being a "useful" IT guy, and wrote installation programs for every product developed using Installsheild and Inno Setup. Beyond the day to day work of the IT Professional, I was frequently tasked to help our in software development as a tester, developer and producer working with companies such as Eidos Interactive, Mattel, Bally Gaming, and Boeing.When Prolific opened up the screen saver market with Serenescreen Marine Aquarium, I was responsible in the development of the eCommerce website which sold a suite of screen savers and online products.

Built and developed computer hardware for a software development house. In addition I lead the manufacturer of a prototype "Gaming" system built on at i386 processor competer. Silent Software spun off all of its employees to Prolific Publishing in July 2007.
