Responsible for researching the market potential, competitors, and potential acquisitions for the company’s three business units and the company in aggregate. Prepare Market and Competitive Analyses for new products that are under development. Also manage the company's Design to Order process for modifications to current products.

Responsible for managing the Shipping, Stockroom and Receiving functions. There were nine people on the team. Helped the Team switch business operating systems from BPCS to Avante’ by Epicor. Wrote all of the work instructions for using the Avante System within the department. Worked with the Team to keep our On Time Delivery, Inventory Record Accuracy, and Customer Service at World Class levels. Also managed a project to rearrange the layout of the Warehouse to optimize the flow of product.

Responsible for creating and maintaining the company’s Master Production Schedule as well as the entire production planning function. Communicated the schedule to all who required it. Also tracked and reported the Master Schedule performance, the On-time Delivery performance, Production Plan performance, and the Manufacturing Schedule performance. Wrote the procedures and work instructions for the position.

Lead a project to become certified as World Class in the MRP II principles and practices by the Oliver Wight Companies. This was a company wide implementation and I lead a cross-functional project team to accomplish our goals. Also helped to implement our Lean Manufacturing initiatives and initiated the search for a new Manufacturing Software system.

Responsible for all assembly and testing of the products manufactured by Bird Electronic. I was responsible for approximately fifty-five people, under three supervisors, in six separate departments. Helped increase Bird Electronic’s on-time shipment performance from the mid-fifty percent range to over ninety percent. Began reviewing and rearranging the operations to improve production flow.
