Responsible for the development and growth of a team of hydrologists, hydraulic modellers and engineers in the London office. During this time the team grew from 6 to 11 with the core of the team remaining consistent throughout this period. Delivering a range of flood risk studies for private developers, the Environment Agency and Local Authorities..

Nine month contract working as a member of the Development Control team of the Environment Agency – the regulatory body responsible for the environment in England and Wales. Responsible for reviewing flood risk assessments and drainage consents that supported developing planning. My role required an excellent understanding of UK flood risk related.

• Developed a strong grounding in the water environment sector from application of first principles in river and pipe hydraulics and water treatment, through to legislative/design standards and the practical.
• Water Treatment and Supply - Developed solutions to existing water supply quality issues, such as testing existing chlorine in the water supply and developing a dosing programme to enable the supply to comply with.
• Surface Water Attenuation and Treatment - Design of sustainable urban drainage systems, such as one of the first rain gardens constructed in Auckland, attenuation ponds for new highways and testing and design for deep.
• Detailed Design and Contract Supervision - Supervision of ten construction contracts for stormwater drainage improvements in Manukau, valued between NZ$100,000 - $500,000. Responsible for: Preparing tender documents.
