Business and sales executive turned software developer. For the past 3 years I have been proudly working at Tofwerk, a company that specializes in mass spectrometry. I have gained valuable experience building user interfaces and applications from the ground up, while diving into the deep end of analytical chemistry and physics.Prior to my career in software development I worked in sales, where I honed my interpersonal skills, communicating with cross-functional teams to address customer needs and deliver on agreed upon TOS. Those skills have carried over into my new career as I work with product managers and fellow developers, asking questions to dig deeper into the task at hand and leveraging the cumulative knowledge of my peers.My transition into coding has been an ongoing process since my time in college, but was accelerated when I enrolled at the Turing School of Software and Design. A benefit of that bootcamp has been the opportunity to mentor newer students, and for a time I volunteered to help produce the alumni newsletter. I'd say my proclivity to try to give back is a feature not a bug.I am always open to a conversation, and view networking as an ongoing facet of my professional life.
