Repsol assets in Canada are focused around liquids and gas in Greater Edson area, conventional heavy oil in Chauvin area, and liquid-rich gas in the Montney and Duvernay play.

Activities included a cyclic SAGD pilot in the fractured Grosmont Carbonate and commission, start-up, and ramp-up of the 5 KBOEPD SAGD demonstration plant in the Grand Rapids clastic reservoir in the Wabasca area. Team received the 2014 APEGA Summit Project Achievement Award for the Saleski Pilot.

Responsibilities included Operations, Maintenance, OE/OS, Production Surveillance and Optimization, Facility Engineering and Capital Modification Projects, Oil Sands Supply Chain, and Residence Management. Activities included hiring the staff and preparing for commissioning and startup of the 118 KBOEPD capacity Surmont 2 SAGD facility.
