Instrumental in creating systems utilizing artificial neural networks, learning Bayesian networks, image/data processing, adaptive filter theory, and wavelet analysis.Recent milestones include:• Part of an effort for an ILI company to create a Quality Management System (QMS) manual. This was towards API 1163 certification. • Created a framework system to combine multiple MFL sizing algorithms (a committee of experts approach based on statistical certainty).Not so recent accomplishments include ...• Reduced client costs and manpower by 40% by designing, developing, and programming an object oriented pattern recognition system which automated much of the manual data analysis for a pipeline inspection company. This IP, developed for McMaster University, was subsequently purchased by Intratech Inspection Services Ltd. and is now the property of Baker Hughes' Pipeline Management Group.• Improved depth sizing accuracy of pipeline defects from magnetic flux leakage images by developing and implementing sizing algorithms utilizing regularization networks for regression and support vector machines for regression (SVMR).• Developed an automated search to identify and size metal loss indications in a heavily corroded pipeline. Procedure heavily utilized binary morphology and standard image processing techniques.• Involved in the development of stress and fault prediction for a leader in the computer system monitoring industry.
