This library currently has routines for corrosion and crack-like item sizing, deformation (dent) sizing, and a girth weld search. The core functionality for automated identification of volumetric metal loss and crack-like items is established. This included design phase piece part ordering, verification, remediation, and final approval (of course under the patient eye of Mr. Z. I was a newbie after all). Special design specifications for extruded PVC and aluminum designs, as well as die cast hardware were involved.I also did some cool stuff like drawing the illustrations for their catalogs and to my great pleasure had one of my "drafts" (or should I say draughts) highlighted in some of their promotional literature (I discovered this quite by accident when interviewing someone in the company later in my career and saw a poster for the advert in his office - "Hey! That's my draft!"). This is not part of my current portfolio as I have become quite rusty at drafting, sketching and drawing in general. This indeed will be my direction in retirement - that is discovering again the old school arts of drafting, sketching, watercolor, and in general expressing myself in a graphic nature.Working for reff was a great learning experience for me - that is to work directly with an entrepreneur and architect to learn first-hand from his depth of knowledge and experience. Thank you to the "r" in reff (Robert Zoebelien).reff was acquired by Westinghouse Systems and later re-branded as the Knoll Group. after that, I don't really know or care. The driving forces in this organization are gone. Show less

Administration of Interior Design contracts for construction projects + sundry drafting duties.Mr. Franner was a smart individual, and did a great deal to patiently mentor a young and impetuous employee. He also taught me the importance of words, and how the caliber of communications affect our professional lives. And yes - Mr. Franner taught me to draught in the old world sense. Keep the lead sharp boy!
