I spearheaded the sale of both OneRain and HSE to Union Park Capital as the two platform companies that started the Advanced Environmental Monitoring (AEM) project.

I started a software consulting business as the principal consultant, and manager of of a team of employees, developed a claim management system on a client server platform that improved the capabilities of the legacy mainframe claim management system. Improved the workflow for claim management by providing the skills for specific claims to be handled by those agents that possessed the skills. The software developed used Oracle and Visual Basic integrated with an IBM mainframe platform.Our second assignment was to developed an enterprise level software test platform for testing an verifying HIPPA compliance. We developed a platform that allowed hundreds of testers to build comprehensive tests that were used to verify and reverify HIPPA compliance for all electronic transaction interchange and processing by Great West Life systems. The software was developed in Java, XML and used an Oracle relational database for management of the thousands of test scenarios.

Convergent Communications was a full service solution for medium to small businesses to outsource their IT, network, desktop, software and telephony services. We let the business focus on their core competency while we provided the infrastructure they needed to run their business.As CIO, I was a key member of the leadership of a company. I joined them as a small privately held 200 person company and saw them through growth to 2000+ employees and going public. In my role I managed all aspects of IT, business intelligence, and business systems. Some of the projects I managed were integration of Oracle Financials, implementation of Customer Resource Management (CRM) system, and developing a sales configuration tool. All of these system supported our telecom offering, including: IP, telephony, computers and help desk services to medium and small businesses.

As Executive Director, I managed software development for multiple applications including call center software, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) software, field technician software, telephony B to B billing and reconciliation, and residential customer care and billing software.

Telecommunications Inc. (TCI) was the largest cable company in the US. They led the transition from analog to Digital and IP cable services. As Senior Director, I was principal in the development of a large client server customer service platform. I managed software development for billing, collections, server based components in C++ using Sybase RDBMS. This customer care and billing platform was instrumental in TCI rolling out its Digital, High Speed Internet, and Telephony products.
