Our lab investigates the brain circuits underlying reward and aversion, and how dysfunction in these pathways can lead to neuropathology such as addiction and depression. We use state-of-the-art techniques such as optogenetics, fiber photometry, viral tracing and electrophysiology to uncover how specific cell types within prescribed circuits contribute to.
