As one of ten Business Facilitators across Australia within the federal government’s Entrepreneurs'​ Program, I encourage and assist connections between buyers and groups of companies with our Program's business advisers. The role is to assist 'like-minded businesses' to work together through strategic alliances to increase their individual capacity, capability and profitability . My focus is on three main sectors: food & agriculture; advanced manufacturing; and medical technology & pharmaceuticals.

The Australian Government committed $251 million over five years for the Enterprise Connect initiative, to enable businesses to become more innovative, efficient and competitive and to lift productivity across Australian industry. Given the challenges of managing a large number of clients and contacts throughout the wide geographic area of western and remote Qld and NSW in these roles – including constant travel, client contact advice and follow-up, and REC team commitments – I earned a reputation for high quality analysis of problems, solution creation and positive results as evidenced by the continual stream of referrals and support from my network over many years.

Appointed to this not-for-profit vocational training organisation within the University of Southern Queensland to replace the outgoing Executive Director of 17 years and to develop a new strategic direction. Successfully moved the business from survival mode to sustainable growth mode by redefining its purpose and overhauling all business systems to adopt a longer-term focus, creating new services across printing, training and room hire portfolios. Represented the organisation publicly, and successfully raised the profile of the Centre and its services. Responsibilities in this role covered all other areas of the business as well, from risk management to reporting to strategic planning and operations management – and all in between.

Invited to take this senior management role with the charter to establish a combined sales & distribution arm representing both finance and insurance products to deliver operational efficiencies, sales growth and cost reductions. Achievements included: revised portfolio, overhauled internal operations; fostered genuine sense of purpose across the business; growth in sales and revenue of retail products; best-in-class loan products; developed and implemented comprehensive training and communication initiatives; set up integrated retail and call centre operations; and more.Won ‘NT Insurance Professional of the Year’.
