1. Technical architecture designed and developed “Interpreter-based Video Rendering Engine” for HTC Gallery Video Highlights. Engine automatically selects the highlights, and displays multimedia content as a short Full HD video with background theme and music. 2. User requirement analysis, technical architecture designed, and implemented “Multimedia Document Layout Engine” for HTC Scribble multimedia note application. Engine supports document templates, non-rectangle text wrapping, object layering, pen drawing, embedded audio, embedded video, online editing, and HTML exporting for cloud sharing. 3. Designed the “Syncing Algorithm and Architecture” for HTC Scribble cloud syncing.4. HTC RE Camera connecting service design 5. Focused on software innovation and prototyping for XMPP P2P-based application and HLS.

1. Developed “HTML5 online Video Editing Engine and cloud service” for social collaborate video editing website ChopChop. Video engine supports multiple tracks, visual effects, and key-frame based animations. For cloud service, I was responsible for design and development an automatic scalable web service with GAE, BigTable (noSQL database) and memcached service for collaborate editing.

1. Technical architecture designed and developed COM based multimedia content management service called “Media Library Engine” for Corel Slingshot and Corel Digital Studio products. Engine supports high performance query, full-text-search, grouping, paging, file system monitoring, and high performance cataloging. It can handle a complex query to search 100000 ~ 250000 content less than 1sec. It includes a high throughput thumbnail system and content parser plug-in architecture.2. Designed and developed “Blu-ray BDAV Recording Engine” for Direct Disc Recorder 3.X in Corel DVD MovieFactory 7.
