In a technical consulting role including mentoring / developing junior engineers. Assisting in developing the Production Assurance offering within Schlumberger.

Lead Flow Assurance Engineer providing steady state analysis for various project phases, which included pipeline sizing and hydrate inhibition studies. Provided MEG inventory calculations to define onshore storage volumes. Developed onshore process models for MEG Recovery Acid Gas Removal, Sulphur Recovery and TEG Dehydration. Assisted in equipment and utility sizing.

Provided steady state and transient analysis , which included H&MB production, pipeline sizing, erosion, condensation and hydrate inhibition studies. Provided MEG inventory calculations to define onshore storage volumes. Cases that were considered included transient, steady state and first fill volumes. Provided input to HIPPS and pigging studies.

Provided transient analysis which included the multiphase production using various scenarios for a dense phase pipeline, and steady state analysis for the purposes of mechanical design. Provided transient steady state analysis which included the multiphase production using various feed scenarios. Some of the issues addressed included water loading in later years Start-up and shutdown, working out the potential temperature during shut-in conditions and slugging conditions and attended the HAZOPs.

Responsible for administration, co-ordination and monitoring of the application of the Project HSE plan on the project or projects to which they are assigned.Responsible for keeping the Project Manager and the Design Safety Manager informed on progress and any problems related to Design Safety.Responsible for carrying out periodic audits on assigned project to demonstrate that the procedures outlined in the company Design Safety Procedures and Work Practices, as well as relevant project specific safety procedures, are being followed.

Designed, implemented and delivered simulation models for a variety of refinery processes. Undertook routine supervision of junior engineers and technicians on project tasks. Worked with engineers at all levels in three different continents. Acted as technical and training consultant to internal engineering and other technical staff as well as international clients. Conducted training needs surveys, developed and delivered technical and operator training programmes. As designated technical owner of the software user documentation, was responsible for reviewing additions made by software staff for accuracy and consistency of style.
