As of April 20, 2019, I officially passed on my presidency in the Men of Distinction to another brother of our organization, Kash Jackson. My role as a former president is to act as a mentor, role-model and advisor for the Men of Distinction, and serve in any facet the organization deems fit. As a graduate of the Men of Distinction, I am considered a lifelong brother, and expected to uphold the highest standards of a man and professional. My new role as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees calls upon my knowledge of the Men of Distinction, management and brotherhood advising.

As the President for the Men of Distinction, I had a major focus in executive-level relationship building, leadership development, diversity training, organization management as well as operations management. The Men of Distinction aims to create a positive and respected environment for the underrepresented population of Nichols College. We provide students the opportunity to not only grow as a business professional, but grow as a man. This program will provide enrichment activities through lessons in etiquette, initiating positive self-esteem, self-worth, and personal values. This group plans on using inner-organizational trips as a strong motive to get our students out into the real world to meet successful minorities who share common qualities. Community service is also a huge part of our purpose, as it teaches our members to become thankful for the things they do have in their lives, as well as show kindness in every way they can. Lastly, our mentorship program will provide incoming freshman as well as current freshman guidance through the extreme changes some students may under-go. We believe that by accomplishing these tasks, students will be able to learn how to be successful, independent and self-sufficient men to further their career, and lives.

As an intern within the Worcester County Jail & House of Correction Gang Unit, I am able to conduct thorough investigations in regard to inmates, use the latest technology, study Islamic extremists and incarceration recruiting tools, analyze recidivism rates, and enhance my knowledge in local and worldwide gang violence. Within this field, I am also able to practice HUMINT, SIGINT and OSINT to further my knowledge as an intelligence analyst/investigator. In addition, I have the unique opportunity to work closely with local, state and federal law agencies to ensure the enforcement of criminal law. Some of these agencies include, and are not limited to, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the US Department of Justice (ATF), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and more. The Worcester County Jail & House of Correction currently houses over one thousand inmates, and has a staff of over six hundred.

In the Spring semester of 2019, I was accepted as a professor’s assistant for the course “Bugs, Bytes and Bombs.” As a professor’s assistant, I assist in my peers learning, critical thinking and writing skills. The description of the course is as follows:”We will explore a wide range of topics to consider the tremendous impact humans have had on the planet in the past 10,000 years and, more specifically, the last few centuries.This window of time, a tiny sliver of earth's history, and human's time on earth, is known to scientists as the Anthropocene. This is a geological time period that is most notable, and easily defined, because of the profound, and perhaps, outsized impact humans have had on the planet. We will attempt to identify some of the features of this time period, and understand what it means for humans who live today, and what it means for the planet's future.” - Professor Boyd Brown

As a two-year veteran writing tutor, I was granted the special opportunity to become a personal writing fellow for three courses taught at Nichols College. I am able to assist students in Learning to Lead, Sports Management Writing, and Bodies of Evidence, which rely heavily on writing capabilities. During this time, I am able to connect with my peers, understand the diversity of learning, become versatile in my technique and approach, and continue to grow my understanding of the subject matter.

As a tutor at the Academic Resource Center, I assist students with any needs they may have regarding their course academics in English, Psychology, Criminal Justice, and many more.

As a program coordinator for my institutions "Residence Life Department," I am responsible for planning and hosting events that appeal to the needs of my peers, as well as meet specific guidelines. My expected requirements are weekly program evaluations, proposals and flyers. As program coordinators, I am also expected to assist in budgeting and purchases for each program. Though it is not required, creativity and a "go above and beyond" attitude is what I have brought to my programs to make our team not only more experienced, but make programs as enjoyable as possible for our residents.

As the Head of Security for the Nichols College 2018 Spring Concert, I was able to work closely with and direct roughly 20 other security personnel, three police officers, and an outside security organization. My duty was to direct the development of an effective strategy to assess and mitigate risk, manage crisis/incidents, maintain continuity of operations, and safeguard artists. I was also able to direct staff in identifying, developing and implementing and maintaining security processes to best be able to respond to incidents.

Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) As a security officer stationed at the John. J. Carroll Water Treatment Plant in Marlborough, MA, I am responsible for the continuation and flow of operations, security screening, and location security under homeland security. This location is responsible for the drinking water of over 50+ locations in Massachusetts, including all of Boston, MA.

As a cruise ship security officer, I will be responsible for enforcing rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and response to emergency situations, write detailed narrative reports (DAR's), observe and report suspicious persons, execute security services, and patrol interior and exterior areas.An ideal candidate is excellent with customers and has an impressive ability to communicate well with others. I am proud to announce my role in the removal of international terrorism, and hope to continue to grow as a professional within my field!

As an intern for the Worcester County Sheriff's office, I have been exposed to the latest technologies and ideologies of our current criminal justice system. While working side by side with Sheriff Lewis Evangelidis, the civil service office, the sheriff's office, and the Worcester court, I had attended drug courts, AA meetings, criminal recidivism, as well as community service projects. This experience had given me an unmatched knowledge that I believe will benefit me in my career, and life.

As a referee for Boston Paintball, I was able to educate customers on paintball safety, regulate games, host international paintball events, and manage my referee team.
