James brings a diverse experience to provide an integrated perspective to help solve complex business solutions.As VP, Risk Management, James is responsible for Parkland's Middle Office (commodity, contract & credit risk), Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit (Parkland's CAE), Controls (C-SOx) and Investigations.Areas of expertise include:- Commercial - Significant experience in contract management and operational performance improvement, including delivering tangible improvements to business outcomes as well as cost reduction. - Supply, Marketing & Trading - Significant experience in the implementation and enhancement of effective governance and risk management activities across a range of commodities, including Oil & Gas, Power and Mining.- Operations - Experience leading projects to identify and access performance improvements and significant savings in front line and back office activities.- Internal Audit - Significant experience in supporting the design of IA functions, annual audit plans and delivery of projects across all areas of business operation.- Treasury - A qualified corporate treasurer, with experience supporting global organisations in the management of debt/liquidity, cash flow, FX, interest rate risk, including hedging strategies and day-to-day treasury operations. - Risk Management - Extensive experience in corporate risk management including Enterprise Risk Management and the successful delivery of business transformations initiatives.- Financial - A Chartered Accountant with a commercial, management accounting mindset and experience in leading complex projects on technical accounting, business process / SOx control design and optimisation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. - People development - Significant experience in managing teams of up to 20 and focusing on their professional development and progression.
