I manage control systems and electronics development for all JLG telehandler products, including agricultural (i.e. 925), construction (i.e. 1055), and high reach (i.e. 1075) models in the North American and global markets. My specializations include systems engineering, model based design, and software validation. I collaborate with a variety of engineering disciplines on a daily basis, including software, electronics, hydraulics, electrical, and powertrain. Starting from these diverse inputs I synthesize system requirements, coordinate multiple software engineering teams, and validate the end results using a mix of simulations and on-vehicle procedures. These requirements integrate engines, transmissions, sensors, displays, HMI, safety systems and other electronics from various suppliers. Besides systems integration, I also develop algorithms and functionality to optimize vehicle performance and provide unique features to our customers.While this role is highly technical, it also requires me to navigate complex cross-functional relationships to achieve business goals. The combination of technical and interpersonal challenges is where I do my best work.
