Director Of Fire Protection Engineering
CurrentAs Director of Fire Protection I provide fire suppression and fire alarm design, commissioning, and construction expertise. In this role I work on projects related to commercial, industrial, retail, grocery, educational, and recreational facilities. I travel to interviews with marketing team to acquire new projects, determine staff assignments and work flow, review resumes, interview potential new hires, perform employee reviews, provide on the job training, and determine staff forecasting. I visit construction sites, problem solve, provide options to clients, and write feasibility studies. I perform initial site visits for new jobs and new clients. I am in charge of fire protection team oversight where I settle disagreements, develop fees and budgets for new projects, offer engineering opinions and reports, design submittal reviews, write engineering specifications, perform QC/QA, review invoices, and review fire protection and alarm documents. I answer questions from employees, clients, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines. I review, sign, and seal all fire protection documents and keep up to date on the latest technology and standards by continued education.• Created and continue to grow a new design department and make Cyntergy AEC a more complete A/E firm with Fire Protection in house•Performed fire suppression design on over 600 remodel projects including over 750 scopes and site observation visits• Provided fire suppression and fire alarm services• Received the NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code Certificate of Education Achievement• Meet and exceed expectations with little or no direction• Located in the St. Louis area and travel to Tulsa every week to support the home office
