• Work directly for our CTO and regularly communicate with and present to our CIO and other executive staff members.• Provide leadership, sales engineering, and architecture for the development of infrastructure solutions and data center migration plans for IT hosting clients. This includes many successful Federal and Commercial contracts totaling hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. These solutions have a variety of regulatory and compliance requirements for standards like HIPAA, PCI, FISMA, FedRAMP, CMSR, and NIST.• Worked directly and closely with our Chief Medical Informatics Officer and his data science team to implement IBM Data Science Experience which utilizes Kubernetes, Docker, R-Studio, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Apache Spark, OHDSI and OMOP open source projects and other Big Data technologies.• Architected a Private IaaS Cloud using Red Hat OpenStack, Ceph Storage, and Cisco ACI networking to present self-service VMs, networks, load-balancing, object storage, and bare-metal servers.• Architected and cost-optimized many HIPAA-compliant solutions on AWS for existing application migrations and big data analytics using EC2, IAM, RedShift, EMR, WorkSpaces, Directory Services, etc.• Lead and oversee the development of our cloud architecture and internally developed Cloud Orchestration System. This system designs, deploys, and manages x86 servers, IBM pSeries servers, Oracle Solaris servers, IBM z/Linux servers (under z/VM), IBM z/OS LPARs, SAN storage, IPv4 and IPv6 networks, RedHat Linux, SuSE Linux, Windows Server, Windows Workstations, Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop virtual workstations (VDI), IBM WebSphere, JBoss, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MongoDB, MySQL, F5 Load Balancers, Cisco Nexus routing and switching, Avaya VoIP telephony, SAN storage, DNS and many more technologies. This oversight includes approval of all new technology contracts and purchases.
