Since joining EIC Laboratories in 1993, I have designed novel electrochemical experiments and fabricated electrochemical cells and devices for lithium ion batteries and PEM fuel cell research. I have experience in developing electrochemical biosensors for HHS utilizing immobilized poly and monoclonal capture antibodies on gold electrodes for capture and detection of the cardiac markers Troponin and Myoglobin through electrochemical response.I also have 18 years of extensive experience in the development of novel Surface Enhanced Raman sensors for trace level detection of explosives, narcotics, pesticides and chem.-bio agents.Skilled in electrochemical instrumentation and analysis techniquesProficient in Scanning Electron Microscopy and Raman SpectroscopyExperienced in UV-Vis, and FT-IR instrumentationKnowledge of Mass Spectrometry and Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopyRecent projects and accomplishments include: Redesigned and fabricated a Vanadium oxide flow cell and testing apparatus used in large scale electrochemical energy storage for intermittent renewable energy sources like solar and wind for the department of energy (DOE).Fabrication and testing of lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) test strips for a hand held POC cardiac marker instrument.Analyzed cross reactivity of poly and monoclonal antibodies utilizing ELISA techniques for LFIA strips.Developed protocol for a novel SERS sensor used in the detection of triacetone triperoxide (TATP) an improvised explosive device (IED) explosive for homeland security (DHS).Fabricated cell and test apparatus for evaluation of stochastic conical nanopore sensors for single molecule detection.
