Prior to his role at the Springfield Ambulatory Surgery Center, Dr. James Taterka served as an attending physician at a number of medical facilities in the area, including Chestnut Hill Hospital and the Lansdale Hospital of Abington Health. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, he attended Columbia University's School of Physicians and Surgeons from 1981 to 1985. During this period, Dr. James Taterka honed his skills and knowledge of internal medicine both in the classroom and at the Columbia University Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian, where he served an internship and residency. Dr. James Taterka subsequently relocated to Philadelphia to complete a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
