Fostered technology transition relationships to rapidly identify, develop, and transition technology to enhance USSTRATCOM operational capability. Spearheaded executive-level effort to build a research relationship between AFRL and the University of Nebraska’s Peter Kiewit Institute (PKI), resulting in an Educational Partnership Agreement with AFRL’s Information Institute.

Served as the commander's primary action officer for highly classified air mobility requirements. Developed and implemented a prioritization process for mobility requirements and programmatic funding for the USAF's $2B+ annual Special Access Program (SAP) research and acquisition budget. Initial cadre and programmatic lead for the stand-up of a selectively-manned team of operators, engineers, program managers, and security specialists supporting capability development for next-generation mobility and VIP Special Air Mission airlift platforms.

Baghdad, Iraq

Deployed to Baghdad, Iraq for 6 months in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM as advisor to Iraqi Ministry of Defense Training Directorate during the build-up of the Iraqi armed forces. Re-worked the annual Iraqi Army Training Guidance process to get measurable objectives into training plans.

Wright-Patterson Afb, Oh

Directed USAF's highly classified low observable (LO) and information warfare advanced technology research programs. Managed cost, schedule, performance, & security for 15 Headquarters USAF-directed R&D efforts valued at $255M. Led a 200+ person government / industry team that provided war-winning aircraft survivability technology research to the warfighter. Constructed national-level technology development roadmaps and reported directly to the highest levels of the USAF and DoD.

Analyzed and provided feedback to mission planners on the effectiveness of LO aircraft and cruise missile routes for nuclear deterrence missions. Briefed the Commander in Chief, United States Strategic Command on modeling and simulation studies to assess the impact of secondary nuclear effects during nuclear operations. Represented the command during B-2 Follow-On Test and Evaluation planning to ensure USSTRATCOM requirements were included in the testing program.

Earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering - Low Observable Technology with a 3.9 GPA. Published technical paper and wrote thesis, Evaluation of Near Field Electromagnetic Scattering Codes For Use in Anti-Aircraft Missile Endgame Simulations, earning “A” grade.

Kirtland Afb, Nm

Supervised the modifications to experimental equipment on the Argus aircraft: a C-135E used as an airborne optical research testbed. Responsible for preparing formal mechanical and electrical drawings and documentation, briefing the proposed changes to the aircraft Configuration Control Board, coordinating equipment installation, and performing in-flight operational tests. Developed mission-critical electronics for the lab's top-priority flight experiment. Selected as an aircrew member for flight tests and logged over 50 flight hours.

Kirtland Afb, Nm

Worked closely with Russian, French, British and American scientists and engineers to install, inspect, and operate a Russian space nuclear power (SNP) system in the United States. Overhauled and upgraded the analog data acquisition system for the TOPAZ International Program with a computerized digital data acquisition system. Completed the operator qualification process for the world’s only operational SNP. Designed test regimens, served as Test Director and co-chairman of the TOPAZ Experiment Review Committee, and reported results in peer-reviewed technical publications.
