The Resource Alliance is a not‐for-profit events-focused organisation. In my role as Head of Events, I occupy a senior leadership position within the organisation with overall responsibility for end-to‐end project management, content curation and delivery of multiple international conferences, events and learning experiences - both online and offline. *Key Responsibilities*o Working with other senior leaders in the team to develop overall organisational strategy o Overall project management of the entire event planning and event delivery processo Budgeting, sales tracking and contract negotiation (venues, suppliers and partners)o Health and safety and risk assessmento Direct line management of two staff year-round and an onsite team of 30+ staff and volunteers o Chairing and facilitating regular meetings with the Content Steering Groupo Providing regular in-person reports on budget and event performance to the Boardo In‐depth content/programme curation from managing speaker proposals to schedulingcomplex session timetables over multiple dayso Working closely with the marketing team to ensure effective event promotion o Dealing directly and professionally with any customer complaints.*Headline achievements*o Received an average delegate feedback score of 86% on the IFC conference over my four years in the role, a vast improvement on the previous average of 60%o Negotiated a 3-year prize freeze on the biggest annual supplier contract worth around £500000 o Re-negotiated or found new suppliers for all conference and event contracts, saving nearly £100000o Launched IFC Asia in Bangkok in 2016 – the first large-scale conference ever delivered by the organisation outside IFC in Holland in 40 yearso Conceived and delivered the first ever environmental policy for the organisation's conferences and eventso Trained, supervised and mentored a total of 9 direct line reports during my time in the role

I am co‐founder and trustee for Nepal Earthquake Recovery Fund – www.nerfinternational.org – a charity started in response to the devastating 2015 earthquake in Nepal. We carry out a range of humanitarian and empowerment projects in the country – particularly focused on marginalised communities – as well as leading sponsored treks each year. Since inception, the charity has raised circa £25k each year with zero hard costs.

Latin America

Having spent two years travelling widely across Latin America, learning Spanish along the way, I was approached by JLA to work as a freelance tour leader on small-group, semi-luxury tours. Clients' evaluation of my performance post-tour has been consistently excellent and as a consequence I have been fast-tracked to leading more extended and challenging tours. Key Responsibilities:- Advance planning and on-the-ground organisation/problem-solving- Sourcing and booking restaurants, hotels, tours, transport and local guides- Translation services, Spanish to English (and vice versa)- Working in challenging and dangerous environments.

Founding member of a unique cinema experience, where I was responsible for the creation, development and delivery of all events. During my 2.5 years at the company we welcomed over 15,000 guests and gained a dedicated global following. Hot Tub Cinema successfully curated its first overseas event with a sold out New York show in April 2014, followed by another successful event in Ibiza in September 2014. The experience of nurturing a new event from its very first days into a globally-recognised and respected enterprise instilled in me a great sense of pride, while learning how to operate in environments of extreme pressure with high levels of self-reliance.Key Responsibilities:- Working in a small management team to devise, plan and implement new events- Venue finding and logistics management, working to and managing a tight budget- Building new relationships and using existing contacts for marketing and PR purposes- Managing social media channels- Managing and promoting ticket sales- Overall responsibility of on-site event delivery and the day-to-day running of events- Staff management and training.Headline achievements:- Conceived, planned and delivered a brand-new event concept from scratch- Cultivated a global dedicated following with over 50k likes on Facebook page at peak- Developed and implemented innovative social media promotion campaigns at zero cost that soldout tickets totalling nearly £400000- Successfully expanded into four 4 UK cities, plus sold-out shows in New York and Ibiza.

Assisted by two colleagues, I was responsible for the Olympic Family areas at Horse Guards Parade (venue for Beach Volleyball competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games). Key Responsibilities:- Pre-planning of Games operations, liaising with other LOCOG departments, stakeholders and suppliers- Managing a workforce of 90+ volunteers- Overall management and day-to-day running of Olympic Family lounge and stadium- Providing a high level of service and comfort for up to 500 VIP guests at any one time.Headline achievements:Headline achievements- 96 athletes from 19 nations competed in 108 games over 11 days, with competition running 09:00-23:00 daily and with nearly 50000 spectators in total- Created an incredibly fun yet welcoming venue environment – Beach Volleyball was the hottest ticket in town and sold out every day- Implemented a successful security operation with no incidents reported despite the high- pressure location and calibre of guests- Hosted David Cameron and family, Prince Harry, David Beckham and multiple heads of state and dignitaries in one evening- Trained, managed and motivated an onsite workforce of 90+ volunteers.
